Volleyball Recap: Anselmo-Merna Takes a Loss

Anselmo-Merna was the 2-0 winner over Elba when they last played one another on October 9th, but their luck changed this time around. The Coyotes fell 3-1 to the Bluejays on Monday. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Rhianen Myers paced Anselmo-Merna's offense, picking up 16 kills. Myers got some help from Lily Thornton and her 30 assists. Myers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Anselmo-Merna's loss dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Elba, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 13-16.

Anselmo-Merna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elba, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller on the 28th.
