Softball Recap: St. Petersburg Catholic Comes Up Short at Home Against Hernando

St. Petersburg Catholic unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Hernando Leopards on Friday, falling 17-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

The win made it two in a row for Hernando and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Petersburg Catholic will challenge Sarasota Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hernando, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Weeki Wachee at 7:00 p.m.
