Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hugoton). They claimed a resounding 67-26 win over the Ulysses Tigers. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-13.

The victory got Hugoton back to even at 3-3. As for Ulysses, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Hugoton and Ulysses could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Hugoton (ranked 129th) will meet Colby (ranked 11th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Ulysses will square off against Goodland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 179 places (241 vs. 62).
