Volleyball Recap: Haven Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Haven, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Larned Indians by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Haven took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-14.

Avery Brawner paced Haven's offense, picking up seven kills. Brawner got some help from Hadley Idacavage and her 13 assists. Mayzie Warden controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Haven has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for Larned, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.

Looking ahead, Haven will host Smoky Valley on Tuesday. As for Larned, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hill City on the 2nd.
