Simon Tech extends road losing streak to five

The Simon Tech Huskies struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Animo Venice Pirates had 20 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Simon Tech was beaten by the Pirates 114-24. Simon Tech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 64-11.

When it comes to explaining why Simon Tech lost, one person who can't be blamed is Karlos Hodgson. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 79.2% of Simon Tech's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Ethan Waters continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Animo Venice, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Waters has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rashad Johnson, who scored 19 points along with three steals.

Simon Tech's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Animo Venice, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simon Tech will take on the Gryphons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Animo Pat Brown is ranked 1396th, while the Huskies are ranked 1419th). As for Animo Venice, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. New Designs Watts is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
