Baseball Recap: Fountain Inn Takes a Loss

If Fountain Inn was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Wren on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fury fell 5-1 to the Hurricanes on Wednesday. The Fury were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Fountain Inn saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dee Suber, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Fountain Inn's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Wren, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

While Fountain Inn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
