            Charleston Math & Science hasn't had much luck against Palmetto Scholars Academy recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday. The Riptide will head out to  challenge the Phoenix  at 6:00  p.m. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
While Charleston Math & Science's  win against Baptist Hill wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Riptide's defense stepped up to hand the Bobcats  a   1-0 shutout  on Tuesday. The score was all tied up  0-0 at the break, but Charleston Math & Science were the  better team in the second half.
Meanwhile, Palmetto Scholars Academy waltzed into their game  last Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by  a  6-0 margin over the Eagles. Considering Palmetto Scholars Academy have won nine contests by more than two  goals this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
They hit Military Magnet Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from  Logan Queen (3),  Owen Frye (2),  and  Gavin Brown.
 Charleston Math & Science pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero  goals over those five  matches. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
