Softball Recap: Lake City Comes Up Short

Lake City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Reed City Coyotes, falling 20-4. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Olivia Arhens made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Lake City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Reed City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-19 record this season.

Reed City will host Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake City will be paying especially close attention to the Coyotes' matchup: after the Coyotes face off against Evart, they'll take on Lake City again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
