Soccer Recap: Mauldin Victorious

Mauldin proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Greenville Red Raiders 1-0. Mauldin's winning goal came courtesy of Thony Usuga.

Mauldin's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Greenville, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Mauldin will face off against Woodmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mauldin will be up against Woodmont's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.56 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Greenville, they will host Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville are facing Hillcrest at the right time seeing as Hillcrest are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
