Miami waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Vinita Hornets by a score of 8-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-3 back in March.

Miami got a massive performance out of Grant Blundell, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Blundell has become a key player for the Wardogs: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 7-12 otherwise. Cameron Herd was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Miami's record now sits at 11-12. As for Vinita, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Liberal at 4:30 p.m. on May 7. As for Vinita, they will face off against Quapaw at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
