League recap: Paso Robles extends winning streak with victory over San Luis Obispo

Adding to the longest winning streak in Pac-7 this week, Paso Robles beat San Luis Obispo 42-7. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Bearcats.

Atascadero was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, the Greyhounds defeated Arroyo Grande 14-10.

St. Joseph's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Curry Parham threw for 255 and 1 touchdown and Gabe Becerra had 77 yards receiving. On the ground Mateo Becerra chipped in 56 yards. Justin Schnorf helped St. Joseph's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 73 yards.

Becerra was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 56 yards on 11 carries as the Knights fell to Righetti. Teammate Parham added to the ground attack by rushing for 16 yards.

6-foot-3 quarterback Parham of St. Joseph is the league leader in passing yards this season with 787. He has also thrown 7 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Eduardo Ruiz. The Pioneer Valley star has 25 catches for 387 yards.

The Eagles are in fourth place, while Dustin Davis' team is in first place.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Arroyo Grande takes on the Knights. Tom Goossen's team has allowed 55 points this season, while St. Joseph has given up 47. The Eagles allowed 14 points last week as they fell to Atascadero.

The Warriors moved up to 232 from 336 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Pac-7. Righetti climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Knights 20-13.
