Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Washington County

The Central Chargers will square off against the Washington County Golden Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Washington County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Central, who comes in off a win.

Central headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Dublin let them put that streak behind them. Central put the hurt on Dublin with a sharp 4-1 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Washington County fell victim to Dodge County and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 5-0. The Golden Hawks haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Central, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6.

Everything went Central's way against Washington County in their previous meeting back in April of 2016, as Central made off with a 4-0 win. Does Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Washington County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
