Basketball Recap: Glenrock Comes Up Short

If Glenrock was feeling good fresh off their 70-46 takedown of Newcastle on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Glenrock Herders took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheatland Bulldogs on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Herders in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Glenrock's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Wheatland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenrock will host Burns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheatland, they will face off against Pine Bluffs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Bluffs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Wheatland likes a good challenge.
