Football Recap: Cedar Cliff Takes a Loss

If Cedar Cliff was riding high fresh off their 28-6 takedown of Altoona last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colts had to suffer through a 48-17 loss at the hands of the Cumberland Valley Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Colts in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Jalen Hinton threw for 202 yards and a pair of TDs on only 18 passes. Owen Anastasi was his top target, picking up 175 receiving yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, Landon Howell rushed for 78 yards.

Colton Stamy went supernova For Cumberland Valley., throwing for 273 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt. That's the most passing yards Stamy has posted since back in October of 2024. Hayden Johnson was in the mix as well, providing Cumberland Valley with two scores.

Cedar Cliff's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Cumberland Valley, the win also got them back to even at 5-5.

Cedar Cliff wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 35-6 victory against Cedar Crest on the 31st. As for Cumberland Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 defeat against Central Dauphin on the 31st.
