Recap: Edna Karr Cougars vs. South Lafourche Tarpons
The Edna Karr Cougars had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past South Lafourche 55-52. The win was just what Edna Karr needed coming off of a 59-31 loss in their prior contest.
Edna Karr found their leader in underclassman Cass Antoine, who scored 21 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Antoine has scored at least 25% of Edna Karr's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Hartford, who scored 13 points.
Edna Karr's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for South Lafourche, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edna Karr will take on St. Mary's Dominican at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Mary's Dominican is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for South Lafourche, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Terrebonne at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Terrebonne will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 279th, while South Lafourche is ranked 132nd).
