Basketball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 57-46 to the Oconee County Warriors.

Julie Azeltine continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Oconee County, going 7 for 17 on her way to 21 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliza Oechsle, who posted ten points and seven assists.

Eastside's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Oconee County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Eastside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-44 win against Wheeler on the 28th. As for Oconee County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-40 victory against George Walton Academy on the 28th.
