Baseball Game Preview: Blackhawk Cougars vs. Beaver Bobcats

The Blackhawk Cougars will challenge the Beaver Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Blackhawk has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Blackhawk is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Central Valley just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Wednesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 tie. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Beaver and Central Valley meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 5-4.

Maddox Tanner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Blackhawk's draw gives them a new season record of 5-1-1. As for Beaver, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
