Basketball Game Preview: London Pirates vs. Aransas Pass Panthers

London is 2-7 against Aransas Pass since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The London Pirates will square off against the Aransas Pass Panthers at 7:30 p.m.

London is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 17, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against West Oso, falling 51-26. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Bears are ranked 256th).

Meanwhile, Aransas Pass posted their biggest win since December 20, 2024 on Monday. They breezed by Odem to the tune of 43-14.

Aransas Pass' victory bumped their record up to 12-17. As for London, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.

London strolled past Aransas Pass in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 47-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for London since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
