Football Recap: Olympian Starts Season with Win Against Clairemont + How To Watch

Olympian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Clairemont Chieftains to the tune of 36-7. The Eagles pushed the score to 36-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chieftains cut but never quite recovered from.

Olympian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Fuentes, who threw for 237 yards and one touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. Jonah Zamora was another key rusher, rushing for 41 yards and a pair of scores.

Olympian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jorgani Estrada and Patricio Flatts.

Looking ahead, Olympian will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clairemont, they will venture away from home to face off against San Ysidro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
