Softball Recap: Davenport Wolves vs. Wimberley Texans
Davenport gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Wimberley Texans by a score of 7-2. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Texans: they've now won five in a row.
Harper Mcquade spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits.
On the hitting side, Ashlynn Kennedy and JORDYN Altmeyer did most of the damage at the plate: Kennedy scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Altmeyer went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbi Brandes, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
