Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Three Rivers). They never let the George West Longhorns get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.
Jayse Alvarado made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Dylan Ender was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of James Contreras, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
