Basketball Game Preview: Tri-County Academy Rebels vs. Leake Academy Rebels

Tri-County Academy is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They are taking a road trip to square off against Leake Academy at 7:45 p.m.

Tri-County Academy came up short against Yazoo County on Tuesday, falling 76-55. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Leake Academy hadn't done well against Jackson Prep recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 victory over the Patriots. Those 54 points were actually the fewest the Rebels have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Tri-County Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Leake Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Everything went Tri-County Academy's way against Leake Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as Tri-County Academy made off with a 61-40 victory.
