Westside Christian Academy put the hurt on Lawrence Upper with a sharp 40-18 win. The Eagles pushed the score to 38-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Westside Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Ella Formica, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 15 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Westside Christian Academy is undefeated when Formica posts 15 or more points, but 1-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Olivia Lacorte, who posted eight points and four steals.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for HEARTS for Jesus Christ against Varsity Opponent on Tuesday as the team secured a 40-11 victory. The Guardians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.
HEARTS for Jesus Christ's win came from a few key players Westside Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Haven Anthony, who earned 14 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayna Kawczak, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
HEARTS for Jesus Christ smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.
HEARTS for Jesus Christ has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points over those games. As for Westside Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
