Volleyball Recap: Streamwood Takes a Loss

Streamwood lost against Wheaton-Warrenville South back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Sabres took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Sabres have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Streamwood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19.

Alexander Paz paced Streamwood's offense, picking up six kills. Paz got some help from John Garcia and his 16 assists. Ian Rivera controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Streamwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Streamwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Belvidere at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they will venture away from home to challenge Glenbrook North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
