Basketball Recap: Guyer Finds Playoff Glory Versus Crowley

Guyer extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Crowley. They enjoyed a cozy 72-54 win over the Crowley Eagles. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Eagles are ranked 44th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Guyer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. Crowley's loss dropped their record down to 23-13.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats take on the Tigers on Friday. One thing working in Frenship's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 31 games. Crowley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
