Durfee typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday New Bedford proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Durfee Hilltoppers by a score of 71-58. The Whalers haven't had any issues with the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

New Bedford's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Durfee, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Coming up, New Bedford will face off against Franklin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Durfee, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Arlington at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Arlington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Durfee likes a good challenge.
