Basketball Game Preview: Sandhills/Thedford Knights vs. Anselmo-Merna Coyotes

The Sandhills/Thedford Knights will take on the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Sandhills/Thedford came up short against Sandhills Valley and fell 47-37.

Meanwhile, Anselmo-Merna suffered their closest defeat since December 27, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of North Central by a score of 52-49.

Sandhills/Thedford will have to contain Dane Duryea as he made an impact in Anselmo-Merna's last game. He dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. Duryea's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Colin Wright was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Anselmo-Merna's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Sandhills/Thedford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Sandhills/Thedford came up short against Anselmo-Merna in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 42-38. Can Sandhills/Thedford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
