Soccer Recap: Mt. Zion Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bowdon two weeks ago, Mt. Zion came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Haralson County Rebels by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Mt. Zion in their meetings with Haralson County: they've now lost three in a row.

Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Haralson County, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Coming up, Mt. Zion will challenge Fugees Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Haralson County, they will face off against Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Haralson County will be up against Central's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.67 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
