            The Santaluces Chiefs are taking a road trip to  challenge the Park Vista Cobras  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Santaluces put up the most  points they have all season  last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Leonard 64-0. The Chiefs haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive  victory against them.
Santaluces' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kelsey Gerald Gerald, who rushed for 149 yards, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Another passer making a difference was  Jaxson Marconi, who threw for 164 yards and three  touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Santaluces was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 267  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
 Park Vista not only won  on Friday, but they posted their biggest win  since October 25, 2024 (when they won  45-0). They blew past Olympic Heights 43-6. With the Cobras ahead  36-6 at the half, the  contest was all but over already.
 The  victory was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Santaluces,  the  win  got them back to even at 3-3.
 Everything went Santaluces' way against Park Vista when the teams last played  back in November of 2024, as Santaluces made off with  a  35-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chiefs since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
