Brycen Rummel posted a new career-low in walks on Friday. He made a splash, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). He was dominant the last time he took on Dove Creek back in April of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming. Nucla is undefeated when Rummel allows one or fewer earned runs, but 7-8 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Rummel and Nucla will challenge Sargent at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Rummel had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup last Friday 6-5.
