Football Game Preview: Burke vs. Garrett Academy Tech

Burke have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Garrett Academy Tech at Burke High School at 7:30 PM. Burke come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-48, which was the final score in Burke's tilt against Barnwell three weeks ago. Burke were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-41.

Meanwhile, Garrett Academy Tech were able to grind out a solid win over Academic Magnet last Friday, winning 42-28. The success made it back-to-back wins for Garrett Academy Tech.

Garrett Academy Tech's victory lifted them to 3-1 while Burke's defeat dropped them down to 1-3. In their victory, Garrett Academy Tech relied heavily on senior Raequan Floyd, who rushed for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns. Burke will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
