Basketball Game Preview: Manti Templars vs. Canyon View Falcons

The Manti Templars will challenge the Canyon View Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Friday, Manti came up short against Richfield and fell 50-41. The defeat continues a trend for the Templars in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Canyon View, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They snuck past North Sanpete with a 56-50 win on Friday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Hawks are ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canyon View has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Manti, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
