Recap: Schaumburg Christian Conquerors vs. Harvest Christian Academy Lions
After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Friday, the Schaumburg Christian Conquerors came back down to earth. The matchup between Schaumburg Christian and Harvest Christian Academy wasn't particularly close, with Schaumburg Christian falling 78-61. Schaumburg Christian has not had much luck with Harvest Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Schaumburg Christian still got an impressive performance from Irfan Khan, who scored 31 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 50.8% of Schaumburg Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Peterson, who scored 12 points.
Schaumburg Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Harvest Christian Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8.
Schaumburg Christian the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Christian Life/Keith Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Genoa-Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
