 Sotomayor is 0-3 against Brennan since March of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Sotomayor WILDCATS will be playing at home against the Brennan Bears at 7:00  p.m.
 Last Friday, Sotomayor came up short against Harlan  and fell  5-1. Sotomayor has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Sotomayor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Brianna Flores, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI. Flores is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games she's  played.
 Meanwhile, Brennan can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Stevens with a sharp  12-4 win. The  victory was familiar territory for Brennan who now have four in a row.
 Brennan also got a great performance from  Natalie Gonzales as she  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits (and not a single walk).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Chenai Chawayipira, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Dayanara Moreno, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Sotomayor's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Brennan, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record  this season.
 Sotomayor came up short against Brennan when the teams last played  back in March, falling  4-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Brennan's  Bryannah Campos, who   struck out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits.
