Baseball Game Preview: New Richmond Lions vs. Sycamore Aviators

The New Richmond Lions will take on the Sycamore Aviators at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. New Richmond has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

New Richmond is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Archbishop Moeller, falling 19-1.

New Richmond saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Uhlenbrock, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Sycamore got themselves on the board against Middletown on Friday, but Middletown never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Middies with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Aviators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

New Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sycamore, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

New Richmond couldn't quite get it done against Sycamore in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 as they fell 8-5. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
