Basketball Recap: Galt Takes a Loss

Galt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They fell 55-43 to the Liberty Ranch Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-37 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Galt saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anthony Rose-Garcia went 8-for-14 en route to 25 points. Rose-Garcia is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last four games he's played.

Wyatt Blevins was a one-man wrecking crew for Liberty Ranch as he went 9-for-14 on his way to 24 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Blevins has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elliott Hawker, who had 15 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Galt's loss dropped their record down to 1-27. As for Liberty Ranch, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-11.

Galt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty Ranch, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-43 defeat against Venture Academy on the 19th.
