Football Recap: Smethport Hubbers vs. Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley
After flying high against Coudersport last Friday, Smethport came back down to earth. The Hubbers were dealt a 63-0 loss at the hands of Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Hubbers were not able to get on the board.
Logan Skibinski continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, rushing for 177 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Skibinski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Gallagher, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries.
Smethport's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
