St. Catherine had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Laila White did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Angels enjoyed a cozy 67-50 victory over the Martin Luther Spartans thanks in part to White, who shot 59% from the field to rack up 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Her big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

Another player making a difference was Jayda King, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards. She has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played.

St. Catherine's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Martin Luther, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
