Basketball Recap: West Central Takes a Loss

West Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Turkey Valley Trojans and fell 68-13. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Trojans are ranked 160th).

West Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Turkey Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, West Central will head out on the road to square off against Turkey Valley on Thursday. As for Turkey Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Jesup at 7:45 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Jesup sitting on 11 straight wins and Turkey Valley on three.
