Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Comes Up Short

Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt an 89-50 defeat at the hands of the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning. The Hilltoppers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 65-25.

Lake Country Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nate Bogdanvich, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hans, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lake Country Lutheran, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Catholic Central will face off against Johnson Creek at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Country Lutheran, they will head out to take on Lakeside Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Country Lutheran knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Lakeside Lutheran likes a good challenge.
