Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Takes a Loss

Holy Cross's tournament run continued when they took on Prestonsburg on Saturday. The Indians took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackcats. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper Brue made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Prestonsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-20 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will host Cooper at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Prestonsburg, they will square off against Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
