Baseball Recap: CSTHEA Comes Up Short

If CSTHEA was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Tyner Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chattanooga Christian Chargers on Friday. The Patriots have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Caleb Petty was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and two runs. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

CSTHEA's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Chattanooga Christian, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, CSTHEA will head out on the road to challenge Marion County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chattanooga Christian, they will host Silverdale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
