Soccer Game Preview: Sheboygan South vs. West De Pere

The Sheboygan South Redwings will challenge the West De Pere Phantoms at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Sheboygan South has struggled recently with 16 defeats in a row, while West De Pere will arrive with three straight wins.

Sheboygan South fell victim to Bay Port and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Pirates. While losing is never fun, Sheboygan South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Bay Port are ranked 15th).

Xavier typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday West De Pere proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 3-1.

West De Pere's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matchups. As for Sheboygan South, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.
