Basketball Recap: Livingston Lions vs. Hardin-Jefferson Hawks
Livingston lost against Hardin-Jefferson back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Livingston Lions took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 960th, while the Hawks are ranked 420th).
Despite the loss, Livingston saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Corinne Henderson posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan Lewis, who put up seven points and nine rebounds.
Livingston dropped their record down to 10-20 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.
Livingston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-22 victory against Shepherd on the 4th. Hardin-Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
