Softball Recap: Kamehameha Kapalama Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Kamehameha Kapalama fell victim to Punahou and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Punahou Buff n' Blue. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 11-7 to the Buff n' Blue when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kamehameha Kapalama saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylie Reiny, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double.

Kamehameha Kapalama's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Punahou, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kamehameha Kapalama will head out to face off against 'Iolani at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Punahou, they are taking a road trip to take on Mid-Pacific Institute at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
