Preview: Ridgewood Generals vs. Hiland Hawks
Ridgewood is 0-10 against Hiland since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Ridgewood Generals will be home for the holidays to greet the Hiland Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ridgewood has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Garaway on Saturday as Ridgewood made off with a 44-21 win. Given Ridgewood's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Garaway is ranked 576th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Hiland put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Tuscarawas Valley with points to spare, taking the game 59-41.
Ridgewood's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Hiland, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
Ridgewood was dealt a bruising 56-25 defeat at the hands of Hiland in their previous meeting back in January. Can Ridgewood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
