Volleyball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Hibriten Panthers. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hibriten scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hibriten, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Freedom will head out on the road to face off against East Burke at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hibriten, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilkes Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
