Basketball Game Preview: New Braunfels Unicorns vs. Boerne-Champion Chargers

The New Braunfels Unicorns will take on the Boerne-Champion Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (New Braunfels has three straight victories, Boerne-Champion has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, New Braunfels strolled past Smithson Valley with points to spare, taking the game 75-56.

Meanwhile, Boerne-Champion came up short against Pieper on Friday and fell 61-49.

New Braunfels pushed their record up to 20-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Boerne-Champion, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-9.

New Braunfels beat Boerne-Champion 52-43 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Boerne-Champion's Logan Scott, who went 10 of 13 on his way to 21 points and six boards.
