Softball Recap: Granite City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Althoff Catholic on Wednesday, Granite City came back down to earth. The Warriors came up short against the Columbia Eagles on Friday, falling 13-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Granite City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Columbia, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite City will head out to take on Collinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they will venture away from home to face off against O'Fallon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
