Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Uzziah Marlowe and Ziyon Smith Lead Southeastern Christian Academy to Victory

Southeastern Christian Academy can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 68-45 margin over the Conway Christian Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-35 back in November of 2024.

Leading Southeastern Christian Academy to victory were Ziyon Smith and Uzziah Marlowe. Smith dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards, while Marlowe went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points along with eight assists and five steals. The contest was Marlowe's third in a row with at least ten points. Kolby Smith was another key player, putting up seven points along with six assists and six boards.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Southeastern Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Conway Christian still got an impressive performance from Brailin Barnhill, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Scott, who had 11 points.

Southeastern Christian Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Conway Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Southeastern Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-43 victory against Calvary Christian on the 13th. As for Conway Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-36 loss against Marlboro Academy on the 9th.
